Oakhurst Subdivision
Oakhurst Subdivision is a large, sprawling community located southwest of the intersection of New York and Eola Road in Aurora, Illinois. Centered around and divided by McCoy Drive, the community of Oakhurst consists of single-family homes, townhomes and appartments. Oakhurst subdivision is divided into smaller sections or "neighborhoods" - each with a somewhat different feel, yet part of the entire community of Oakhurst. The subdivision is made up of around 11 single-family neighborhoods and 6 townhome neighborhoods. The 11 single-family neighborhoods are Ashbrook, Aspen, Autumn Meadows, Breckenridge, Carriage Estates, Inverness, Mayfair, Stanfield, Summerfield, The Woods and Wild Meadows. All of the single-family homes in Oakhurst subdivision are well-built and often display beautiful architecture in a variety of styles. The community of Oakhurst is a master-planned community, which means that homeowners have access to community parks, hike/bike trails and other area resources. All homeowners are members of the Oakhurst Community Association.
   
There are also 6 neighborhoods of townhomes including the Townes of Oakhurst, Townes of Oakhurst Condominiums, Heather Glen, Autumn Lakes, Abbington Woods and the Country Homes of Oakhurst. There are also a group of appartments located at the Hunter Glen Appartment Complex. The variety of housing options in the Oakhurst Subdivision as well as it's location - central to the cities of Aurora and Naperville - makes it a popular place to live. Most of the homes in Oakhurst feed into school district 204 - Waubonsie Valley High School. Shopping venues close to Oakhurst include fast food north on Eola, a Jewel grocery store and Walgreens near the intersection of New York and Eola, the Fox Valley Mall just east of the community as well as a multitude of other stores along Rt. 59.
