Illinois Short Sales

Illinois Short Sale Information

A short sale is a particular way of selling your home, investment property or land when its current value has fallen below what you owe. Short sales have become more necessary since the housing market began its decline in late 2006. For millions of home owners all over the country, the ability to do a short sale has provided a real alternative to foreclosure. Although short sales are now common in Illinois, they remain a confusing subject to many people. One of my main objectives when I meet with clients and I suspect a short sale might be a good option is to explain, in basic terms, what the short sale is and why it may be a good choice. If you are finding it difficult or impossible to continue paying your mortgage or if you are already behind on payments, doing a short sale may be something to consider. To help you get an idea of what it’s all about, I have provided a seperate page with Information About Illinois Short Sales. This is a good starting place tofind out more about the process. However, everyone’s situation is unique and it’s very important that you contact me directly if you need additional information or if you suspect a short sale is a good option for you.

I have been doing short sales for years and have had great success in assisting sellers through this process. I charge no upfront fees and the entire process will be handled quickly and professionally. Also, in every short sale I have completed, the fees I charge for selling your home are paid by your bank as part of the short sale negotiation. This means that none of our expenses will come out of your pocket. You will also have the option of being represented by an attorney who specializes in the negotiation of short sales, who also charges no up-front fees and who is also paid by the lender at the end of negotiation. Your attorney will also try and get you approved for the Federal HAFA program that provides up to $3,000 relocation assistance. If you have been contacted by your lender about doing a short sale or have already been pre-approved, or if you’ve already been in contact with an attorney I can work with whatever your situation requires.

If you are having trouble making your mortgage payments or are already behind, if you have to relocate due to a job or life change or if you have to move for whatever reason and feel that your property may not be worth what you owe on it, please contact me for more information. Everyone’s situation is unique and it’s important that you get help as soon as possible. I can help you even if you are already into the foreclosure process but at a certain point it does become too late, so please don’t wait too long before seeking my help.
