Each Illinois community has it’s own particular market trends. Because real estate is such a locally-driven market, if you are searching for a home, you need to compare it with others in the surrounding community to determine its ultimate market value. This is the primary technique REALTORS use to evaluate the potential sales price of a particular property. If you own a home in a particular subdivision or are thinking of buying one, the sales data of similar homes in that community will give you an indication of what your home may be worth or what price you should think about paying for a home you’re looking to buy. This information is usually difficult to obtain – however, I have access to this data in an easy-to-understand format and would happy to share it with you.
