Farnswood is a small subdivision of townhomes located near Reckinger and McClure on the city’s east side. These townhomes include either 2 or 3 bedrooms and a single bath. Most are two-story units although there are a few ranch-style single level townhomes occasionally available. Farnswood is located just south of the Prairie Point community.

Farnswood can be found just west of O’Donnell Elementary and is within easy walking distance for children attending the nearby school. It is also located a short walk from O’Donnell Park as well as the Prairie Path Woodland Swamp County Forest Preserve. The community is also located close to the Illinois Prairie Path, a trail system that criss-crosses Northern Illinois. These are great features for residents who enjoy hiking, biking or running.
