Sandwich Illinois remains a small community surrounded by farms, open land and lots of country roads. Development is just reaching this area, which is perhaps one of the big reasons that Sandwich remains a popular place to live. If you're looking for a small-town atmosphere but also like to visit the big city on occasion, Sandwich is exactly what you may be looking for. Many of your Sandwich real estate options are going to older homes in the city center or farms in the rest of the area. There are several new developments of newer homes in the area but the bulk of Sandwich homes remain near turn-of-the-century construction. Sandwich is located to the west of Yorkville on Route 34 nearly one hour to the West of Chicago.
