Kensington Lakes can be found by heading south on Randall Road just past Indian Trail and turning right at the entrance sign. Other entrances are from the south on Westgate Drive or from the west on Colorado Avenue (turn left off of Elmwood). Many of the homes in Kensington Lakes subdivision are what you would consider "move up" homes. They feature lots of square footage, often 4 bedrooms as well as open, expansive floorplans. Many homes feature brick exteriors, landscaping and paver walkways giving Kensington Lakes subdivision a very elegant appearance.
Kensington Lakes home models include the Nantucket, Williamsburg and Alexandria with several different elevations. Basements were a very popular feature when this subdivision was being built - most homes in Kensington Lakes subdivision have one. Also beautiful features are the two ponds that can be found in Kensington Lakes subdivision as well as a small park at the intersection of Colorado Avenue and Westgate Drive. Perhaps one of the best things about Kensington Lakes homes are the relative values. Prices range in the mid-to-upper 200's - even into the low 300's for the largest models with finished basements and brick exteriors. However, the size of the homes, open floorplans and popular features often make the community of Kensington Lakes a very nice place to live.
Main streets in this community include Wellington Circle, Westgate Drive, South Hampton and Wedgewood. Convenient shopping venues include a Jewel grocery store on Galena Boulevard just south and west of the subdivision. There is also a Wal-Mart and several other businesses, including a few restaurants in this area. You can also find a Walgreens on the corner of Indian Trail and Randall Road as well as fast food, a Lowes and Home Deopt at the intersection of Indian Trail and Orchard Road.
