Beginning yesterday and continuing through the weekend, we are experiencing our first warm spell in a while for the Fox Valley area west of Chicago. The mild temperatures combined with a bit of rain has really knocked down the nearly 2-feet of snow we had previously received but has turned many areas of the community into a soggy mess. For Aurora home shoppers, the warm weather should be great for those weekend drives around the community. This should help fuel our Aurora property market as we head farther into spring. Buyer activity has really been good over the past few weeks. However, Aurora home sellers aren’t putting homes on the market in great quantities yet. When I drive through the Golden Oaks Subdivision that I specialize in, I don’t see as many signs in the ground as I would expect. The warm weather should spur home improvements as more Aurora homeowners get out and are able to take care of some of those projects that the snow really makes difficult. If you are thinking of buying a home in Aurora, take an opportunity this weekend to drive around a bit and see the community. It should be a beautiful weekend.
